About Megawatt Acres
We connect people who own land near grid infrastructure with people who need megawatts for data centers — and we publish what we learn about land value and site selection, with sources.
What we are — and are not
Megawatt Acres is an intermediary and finder. We screen parcels that owners send us, take requirements from developers, and introduce the two when both agree. We are not a buyer of land, not a developer and not a utility. We are not a law firm and do not give legal, tax or investment advice; owners should negotiate with their own attorney.
How we get paid
- Submitting land or a site request is free for both sides, and so is our first assessment.
- We earn a finder's or brokerage fee only when a sale, option or lease closes between parties we introduced.
- Who pays the fee and how much is agreed in writing before any introduction, and disclosed to both the landowner and the developer. We do not take undisclosed payments from either side.
- No developer pays to be shown parcels first, and no landowner pays to be shown to more developers.
Our guides do not change with commercial interest: land-price figures come from public records and reporting, listed with their documents and dates on the sources page.
